The conduit that connects the creative poetic voice

Arizona State Poetry Society

The conduit that connects the creative poetic voice, especially

in rural and remote areas of Arizona; we are connected to

excellent poetry and stimulated by the resonance of

other poets. Roberta L. Howard, CEO, NAVCARE

About Me

I am a recently retired elementary art teacher, and have written in many genres.  My first big hit was a play I wrote in fifth grade called "Mrs. Longfellow's Tea."  Needless to say, it was not performed on or off broadway. I went on to write short stories, poems, memoirs and a 250,000 word historical novel that is currently being edited,  sliced and diced.  I admire poetry in all forms, especially because it is succinct, often prophetic, and beautiful.  I feel I have a lot to learn from poets and their work.
